Watershed Assessment
Coho understands the range of possible objectives relating to
watershed assessment and how they interact with other interests
including economic, environmental, tribal, government and legal. We
can help establish a fact-based understanding upon which responsible,
acceptable and agreeable water resource management accords can
be based.
Our experience includes:
- Conducting watershed assessments throughout the Pacific Northwest, including both western and eastern Washington.
- Preparing over 50 watershed assessment and planning documents on: water
balance, surface and groundwater, allocation and water availability,
storage, water quality and aquatic habitat (fresh and marine
waters); and, planning documents with regulatory and policy
structures.
- Facilitating, coordinating, and managing multi-stakeholder groups and communicating technical and policy issues to diverse audiences.
Watershed assessment and planning is an excellent vehicle for
Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM). Coho has a wealth
of in-house capability as well as an extensive network of resources to
bring the appropriate expertise to the project, and the experience to
manage it.
